Sambatida is Samba Masala's 2nd Island wide tour, covering a larger variety of audiences with a brand new concept. This summer, we set ourselves the ambitious goal of redefining the concept of Samba busking – through more interactive choreography, greater spontaneity and a more diverse repertoire of music played. Many percussion bands can busk on the streets but starting from this summer, we want to busk the way only Samba Masala knows how to.

Instead of putting up a centerpiece concert, we will be taking Samba music to the streets and to the heartlands. By placing greater attention on choreography and the fine arts of showmanship, we want to venture beyond the basic side-to-side movements of traditional Samba busking. With more vibrancy and diversity in our performances, we keep the audience on their toes and hopefully, leave a more lasting impression long after our busking session has ended. By the end of this tour, we also aim for this enhanced busking experience to be forged into the bread and butter of Samba Masala's future performances.

Equipped with this ambitious goal of ours, we'd like to capture the imagination of as many people as we can. We will be embarking on a two-week music odyssey to at least 16 different places around Singapore (further elaborated below). We have designed specific themes for each day, namely Youth, Heartlands, Tourists, and Orchard Road. This will also allow for a uniform direction for our marketing and creative efforts, resulting in a loud and resonant message on who we are and what we intend to accomplish.

This is the start of our transformation!
