Loco Coco
The stage opens with the first surprise of the night: Samba, with the feel of Rock and the sound of Electro. Cranked-up, distorted, ripped-apart Electro. A driving, head-bobbing cadence that suddenly dissolves into uncatchable rhythms, which then weave in and out of cacophonic dissonance. This is order amidst chaos. This is the music of noise.
The Pedestrian
Your ears warmed up yet? Take a short breather with this sensual and soothing Bossa Nova groove, but don’t be lulled into a coma just yet, for it’s gonna get fast-paced and intense really soon. We’re covering a classic written by our friends, Wicked Aura Batucada, and we’re even bringing a couple of them in too, so you’d best get your autograph books ready.
Tribute to 5
A nod to the jazz classic “Take 5”, watch us embrace the odd and unexpected side of music. A swinging groove that halts before you know it, a performance full of surprises, question marks floating around your heads, it makes us comfortable making you feel uncomfortable. Try and tap your feet to this one, we dare you.
Funk Me Nicely
Funk meets electro in this addictive rhythmic number. Featuring Wicked Aura’s bassist, Yazzit, we’re gonna be dropping a beat so sick on this one, your body’s gonna start moving all on its own. And that’s a sign that you need to stop standing and start dancing. Hit it!
Reggae Gaga
In our quest to fuse tradition and modernity, we’re taking Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face” and covering it, Samba Reggae style. A hooking, hypnotic rhythm, combined with enticing vocals provided by Lyna of the Sugarettes, you can’t help but fall in love with this one, it’s Poker Face like you’ve never seen it before.
The 7-minute Samba
So what better way to end off than with Samba Batucada, the widely-renowned signature style of Samba Baterias? We’ll be playing our very own rendition, chock-full of intense and aggressive breaks to constantly leave you guessing. The individual instrument sections are gonna distinctly shine in this one, so pay close attention, because we’re going out with a tremendous bang.
